Volunteer partners effect powerful change in their communities and build teamwork and employee loyalty at the same time. America’s children benefit from your friendship and you benefit from just an hour a week spent seeing the world through the eyes of a child. Volunteers ages 16 plus can commit as little as one hour a week to become a Big.
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported one to one relationships, contributing to stronger schools, better communities and brighter futures for all. This year marks Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Manchester’s 40th anniversary of service to the Manchester community. In celebration of our anniversary we at BBBS like to think BIG that is why we have set a goal of serving 850 children by the year 2010. To reach our goal we need two things: volunteers and funds. Both will assure that many more children will fulfill their potential as positive members of the community.
